Admissions Checklist
Applications are considered in date order based on the date we receive them, with priority given to current families, children of alumni, and children of faculty and staff. We remain grateful for your interest and encourage families to contact the Admissions Office to learn about our process and space availability before submitting an application.

Parent Visit - tour, classroom observation, and/or attend an Open House.

Complete and submit your child’s application through Ruffing’s Admissions Portal.

Parent & Child Admissions Visit - the Admissions Office will reach out to families to schedule visits, which will take place in late January/early February. The number of visits to be scheduled will be based on space availability, which means that not all applicants will be invited for a visit.
Please Note: Anticipated Waitlist for Toddler Community
We are honored by the extraordinary interest in our Toddler Community for the 2026–2027 school year. With limited availability and strong early demand — including many applications from current families with priority enrollment — we anticipate moving to a waitlist well before the January 15, 2026 deadline.
We welcome and encourage all prospective families to submit an application. Please know we thoughtfully review every application and encourage families to apply if Ruffing feels like the right fit for their child. If we are unable to consider admission for your child for next school year, we are happy to keep your application on file for future opportunities and will remain in touch with your family.
