Family Association

The purpose of the Family Association is to provide an organization through which parents and guardians of Ruffing students can support and serve the Ruffing Community in fulfilling the Ruffing Montessori Mission Statement:

The mission of Ruffing Montessori School is to employ the philosophy and methods of Dr. Maria Montessori to educate young people to their fullest potential, instilling a deep sense of personal independence and social responsibility. With the knowledge that they are citizens of the world, they will contribute to the world by making decisions based on the highest order of ethics and conscience.

The purpose of the Family Association is also to:

  • Promote goodwill and cooperation between and among parents, guardians, teachers, and the administration of Ruffing.

  • Foster inclusion and respect through engagement with the school.

  • Promote communication among parents, guardians, teachers, and the administration.

  • Direct and develop parent/guardian support of the school through specific activities, social functions, and fundraisers.

  • The Family Association is not a vehicle for influencing the administrative activities of the school or to control its policies.
